Conditions
- International-class standards count only at three-country meets, State Sports Committee all-union competitions, RSFSR and Ukrainian SSR championships, and A. Kurynov and G. Novak memorials attended by Committee representative.
- Master standards count at republican or higher competitions, traditional open tournaments in all-union calendar, and Moscow Region championships.
Note. Zonal championships of RSFSR or other republics with at least eight organisations may rank as republican level (Combat Sports Department decision).
Kettlebell lifting
Rank requirements deleted. Item 4 now reads: “Clean and jerk first, snatch second.”
Note. Weightlifting judges, briefed beforehand, may judge kettlebell events.
